Under the Surface
Under the Surface (2023) is a metaphorical exploration of how and why humans use emotional masking, whether as a trauma response, a coping mechanism, or to meet social expectations. Above the water line is the smiling face one wears in public. But beneath it, unseen faces – sadness, anger, and hopelessness – steep in the cold, dark water. Hand-drawn digital art. Prints available in 24 x 30, 8 x 10, and 5 x 7.
