Relic (2024) is one of five pieces in my Abandoned collection. It reveals the sanctuary of an abandoned church, its floor strewn with trash, debris, and broken furniture. Light spills in through the stained glass windows. At the front of the structure, statues of Jesus and Saint Paul flank the altar. A votive stand lies in the aisle; nearby, a cross lies broken just below the crossbeam, a symbol that perhaps more than the building itself is being abandoned. Hand-drawn digital art.
